Are Scientologists Stalking Katie Holmes?

If there's anything we’ve learned from this  Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise divorce fiasco, it's don't ever marry a Scientologist. It doesn’t matter how rich, famous or good looking you think he is…it’s a bad idea. Very. Bad. Idea.

Besides a messy divorce and a possible custody battle, word is that Katie now has members of the Scientology cult stalking her around New York.

According to TMZ, since Katie filed for divorce and announced that she is seeking sole custody of Suri, two mysterious men in a white 4x4 with tinted windows have been seen parked outside her New York apartment. A second car – a black SUV – is also thought to have been tailing her around the city for the last few weeks, in the run up to her divorce announcement.

Katie is fearing that rogue members of the Church of Scientology are behind it.While this may sound a bit paranoid, based on everything we heard about those Scientologists and their beliefs, chances are Katie is in the know about how they operate.

Of course there are plenty of other people who follow Katie around – fans, paparazzi, photographers and magazines trying to get a scoop – so it’s possible this is normal celebrity stuff.

BUT…Scientologists can be creepy and have been known to engage in weird behavior. They are a group who doesn’t need any help giving themselves a bad name. Rumor is Katie filed for divorce to keep Suri from becoming involved in their world. If that’s the case, there could be some really scary stuff going on – stuff Katie has most likely been privy too.

I’m not sure what their hoping to accomplish by following her around.  Maybe they’re trying to use brainwashing techniques to talk her out of divorcing Tom. Or perhaps they want to use some secret gadget to erase her memory.

Okay…I know that was a Men in Black jab but I couldn’t resist. Any religion that claims they’ve got access to aliens and uses the word “science” in their name is gonna put up with a little ridicule.

Bottom line: I like Katie Holmes (despite her terrible taste in men) and hope the stalking rumors aren’t true.
